Acclaimed author Gary Slaughter will discuss Cottonwood Summer '45 which is the fifth installment in his Cottonwood series,
chronicling small town life on the home front during World War II.

Annelle Huggins has compiled her grandfather's articles into a book entitled Billy the Goat's Tales of Two Towns by L.D.R. Her grandfather, Luther David Ralph wrote more than 800 columns over 27 years for the Goodlettsville Gazette depicting life in rural Sumner County between the towns of Goodlettsville and Shackle Island.
